IN THE AIR
From assisting in the launch of a private Eurasia airline to working with VVIP passengers (including Heads of State), few designers have accumulated such comprehensive experience, and twenty years, in the private aviation business.
THE CREW
Riddle has trained cabin crew to a European standard of silver service and lectures on food preparation. She has designed, procured and leased all cabin crew uniforms.
THE AIRCRAFT
Riddle has guided the design, and individually styled an A320 interior in conjunction with Comlux America. Overseeing the transition of new aircraft to the line including Gulfstream, Bombardier, Boeing and Airbus, she has decorated a broad range of aircraft interiors, working closely alongside her clients, often advising them on interior design floor plans. Forging a close working relationship with Comlux has resulted in many successful implementations of her clients’ design requirements.
THE SERVICE
An holistic approach to her work with specialist companies has resulted in the production of many unique cabin elements.
From dinner service to leather goods, and the artwork on the walls, her remit encompasses soft furnishings to the flower arrangements; the sourcing and procurement of clothing and cosmetics for clients, and choosing the appropriate fine wines and spirits for the aircraft.
ON THE GROUND
THE DOMESTIC
Projects include the interior design, furnishing procurement, and the organisation of a workforce team for several luxury properties. One large house involved five bedrooms, three sitting rooms, a dining room, games room, workshop and annex wing. Riddle worked closely with the architect on the complete kitchen and bathroom design.
THE COMMERCIAL
As well as other large houses and a London flat, the restyling of a restaurant and guesthouse reflected the all-encompassing approach she takes to aviation projects. Restyling all seven rooms and the restaurant (and project managing the decorating), Riddle was tasked with styling the waiters, the menu design, and subsequently implemented a new food presentation regime.
